In April, Pacific NW Experience hosted Officer James Stegemeyer from the Portland Police Bureau's Behavioral Health Unit for an informative workshop on ways to de-escalate social situations that front-liners and guests can encounter. This workshop was so well done we may schedule another one later this year.
Guest service Gold® Training
We are proud to offer Guest Service Gold Training, an Internationally Accredited Professional Certification designed for hospitality and tourism industry employees to learn about providing memorable guest services. The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute has designed this course especially for Oregon’s hospitality industry.
This in-person course provides tools, motivation and inspiration that will help front-line employees ‘Go for the Gold’ when it comes to providing service that goes above and beyond what is expected. The course features seven principles of guest service delivery illustrated through real stories of challenge and experience told by Oregon company employees. This training is ideal for teams of employees to become a more cohesive and motivated team.
Through a partnership with Travel Portland, these half day classes are open to hospitality and tourism industry employees for $20/person.
